Yu-I Kuo, born in Taipei. She received her B.A. in Chinese Literature from National Taiwan University in Taiwan, and her Ph.D. in Visual Anthropology from Ecole des hautes etudes en sciences sociales. Her research areas focus on female shamanism studies, and a calligraphy used by southern Chinese women known as “NuShu”. A documentary created by Kuo discusses some of these topics.  Several of Kuo’s books have been published and won various literature awards; her writing styles cross among novels, proses, scripts and picture books.

Professor Isabelle WU, received her Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from the University Paris I（Docteur en Arts Section Cinema et Audiovisuel, Universite Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, France）in 1997. Her research interests and areas of specialization include Contemporary Film theory and Aesthetics, European Film Industries, Gender studies and Film, and Culture Studies in Visual Media. She has published In The Age of Cinematic Thinking (Ed. Bookman, 2007), written book chapters, contributed essays on film aesthetics , and received several National Science Council Research Grants to conduct research projects. She also served as juror in numerous international film festivals (Golden Horse Awards 2013, Taipei Film Festival Jury Member 2013,etc. ).
